Candle Care

Why candle care?

The cleanest and safest way to burn your candle is to trim the wick before each and every use. Trimming prevents your candle from sooting, keeps the flame height in check (especially important with wood wicks), and will give you a more even burn, helping to prevent tunneling.

-Trim wick to ¼’ before every burn!

-A long wick burns too hot and will cause you to burn through your candle quickly. Regular trimming also prevents large flames and provides a cleaner burn with no sooting. Grab a wick trimmer, or use a nail clipper to get a close cut!

-When burning for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the edge of the vessel (2-4 hours). This prevents tunneling and wax build up along the sides.

-Never leave a candle unattended, or within reach of children, pets, or drafts.

-If the flame seems too high or the container too hot, simply extinguish the flame, let it cool down, trim the wick and restart!
